A SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAM On any given day you are likely to find this pair out in the hills playing hide and seek, or scraping through the brush and rock until dark. They are a team for American Search Dogs of Ogden Utah. Barbara Limb and husband Terry have been involved in the German Shepherd breed for 25 years. As breeders, they began with American showline shepherds and got their first German dog in 1987. Barb & Terry have participated in AKC obedience and shows having produced a Champion, El Sid of Windy Ridges, in 1984. Barbara got involved in SAR in 1991 . She states her love of the dogs and the outdoors, and a desire to help people and be useful as reasons for involvement in SAR. Bud vom Zeder Kämme certified Level 2 in the summer of 1999, and is Barbara’s 2nd Certified SAR dog. She says he is social, outgoing, independent and thinks things through. She says he is one of the best all around dogs she has ever owned. These attitributes give him what it takes to be successfully trained as a search dog. Bud is a VA Nero v. Hirschel, SchH 3 son, and grandson of the 1995 World Sieger, Ulk v. Arlett. His Zeder Kämme littermates are Brando’s Rommel, Bella CGC, and Bolle’s Jarman, who is also working in SAR in Moab, Utah.
